THEATRE AND DRAMA GAMES (GR 4-7)

In this enriched course, learners will have fun using dynamic games to explore issues and concepts about themselves and others. Learners will also stage readers' theatre presentations and create and share their performances with their classmates. Participation in these activities will encourage creative, independent thinking, cultivate appropriate audience behaviour and equip learners to be able to recognize value in themselves and others. Previous acting experience is not required, but enthusiasm is a must!

STRINGS ORCHESTRA - JUNIOR STRINGS (GR 4-7)

The Junior Strings Orchestra is for students with one to three years of experience on the violin, viola, cello or double bass. This is the perfect course for students who have taken private lessons or for students that have completed the VSB Elementary Strings Program. We will learn new repertoire in a variety of musical styles and showcase our talent in a performance at the end ofthe course. Students are required to bring their own instrument that is properly sized to fit.

STRINGS ORCHESTRA - SENIOR STRINGS (GR 4-7)

The Senior Strings Orchestra is for students with four or more years of experience on the violin, viola, cello or double bass. This is the perfect course for students who have taken private lessons or for students that have completed the VSB Elementary Strings Program. The focus is to learn challenging repertoire in a variety of musical styles through ensemble playing in a positiveand fun learning environment. There will be a performance at the end of the course to showcase the repertoire learned over the duration of the course. Students are required to bring their own instrument.

This course is dedicated to the improvement of writing using the outside world as an inspiration. The students will use brainstorming tools, planning and research strategies to discover and explore their local land. The students will have a wide variety of choice in what they want to write about.
