Summer Jazz is for students who have at least one years' experience playing an instrument and who have an interest in jazz, rock, Latin or pop music. STRINGS ORCHESTRA - SENIOR STRINGS (GR 8-9)

The Senior Strings Orchestra (Combined with Senior Elementary Orchestra) is a course open to students aged 13 to 14 with four or more years of experience on the following instruments: violin, viola, cello and double bass. This is the perfect course for students who have taken private lessons or for students that have completed the VSB Elementary Strings Program. The focus is to learn challenging repertoire in a variety of musical styles through ensemble playing in a positive and fun learning environment. There will be a performance at the end of the course to showcase the repertoire learned over the duration of the course. Students are required to bring their own instrument.

Students in this course will learn the basics of digital photography. No previous photo experience is necessary students will learn about composition and design, file management, and photo editing. The emphasis in most classes will be on going out and completing different shooting challenges.
